How To Make a Glass of Fresh Lemonade

Here is our easy step-by-step guide to make that perfect glass of freshly squeezed lemonade:

  • Make the syrup - Place 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water into a small saucepan and simmer.

  • Juice the lemons - As the water heats for the syrup, juice your lemons. Depending on how large the lemons are, 4 to 6 should be enough for 1 cup of lemon juice.

  • Mix together - Mix the lemon juice, the syrup and 2 cups of cold water into a serving cup. Pour more water in if you prefer it to be more diluted.

  • Refrigerate & enjoy - Once the lemonade is mixed, pop it in the fridge for 30 minutes, then take out, add a couple of ice cubes and you’re good to go. Add some sliced lemons if you’re feeling fancy! 

2. Coconut Water

Another refreshing non-alcoholic drink is coconut water. This is a great choice on a hot day as coconut water is rich in vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes. On a hot summer day, sweat makes us lose electrolytes which, in turn, makes us feel drained and tired. Coconut water helps the body restore these essential electrolytes and is therefore a much healthier choice than alcohol.
